To clarify, I am NOT a true "Reverend". I have not been ordained by any
group or any person. OK, I must admit to that Internet ordination, but
we won't get into that here. My co-workers gave me that nickname because,
well, I have the hair for it. I promise, however, that I do NOT put as much
shtuff in my hair as even a lower grade televangelist. <grin> I may sound like I'm preaching when I get on my soapbox and pound the "pulpit" a time or two, but I only do that on topics near and dear to my heart. I don't proselytize, evangelize, preach or even ask for money. I will not preach hellfire and brimstone but ways to be aware of your surroundings and how to avoid being a victim. If you cannot avoid trouble, I want you to be ready, willing and able to respond with whatever force is legally, ethically and morally justified. In other words, as my father told me many years ago, "Don't ever start a fight. However, if somebody picks a fight with you, I want you to be able to finish it." Hopefully, this site will be a resource to help us all learn. As Albert Einstein said, "The more I learn, the more I realize I don't know." I don't have all of the answers. I don't even have all of the resources assembled in one location. I welcome any feedback - positive and negative - regarding what you think about this site and how you think we might be able to improve it. Together, we can make it better for everyone.
